Miramar Road has a lot of shops. Here's why we built a different one.
The Miramar Road corridor has more PPF and auto styling shops per square mile than almost anywhere in the country. We know — we're right in the middle of it, on Dowdy Drive. To survive in this market, let alone win business from it, you have to do the work better than the alternative. That's not a marketing position. That's the operating reality of this ZIP code.
Apex Auto Studio was built around one principle: the prep work is the job. It's easy to apply a film. Anyone with a roll and a squeegee can do that. What separates a 10-year PPF install from one that fails in year 2 is whether the surface underneath was properly corrected, decontaminated, and measured before the film touched it. We built our service structure around that reality — every tier includes what it needs, not what's convenient to skip.
Our shop runs climate-controlled, temperature-managed bays. Not because it looks impressive in photos — because film and wrap installation requires stable conditions during application. We turned away faster installs and higher volume to maintain those conditions. The clients who care about the result are the ones we want.
The things we won't skip.
Paint correction before every film install
PPF magnifies what's under it. Swirl marks, water-spot etching, and fine scratches become visible under the enhanced gloss, not less. We correct before we install — every time, at every tier.
Full decontamination every install
Industrial fallout and bonded contamination are invisible to the eye but they compromise coating adhesion and create adhesion failures over time. Iron decontamination spray and clay bar treatment happen on every vehicle, including new ones just off the lot.
Inspection under calibrated lighting
We check every panel under 5,000K lighting before your vehicle leaves. Not a walkthrough, not a quick once-over — a panel-by-panel check. If we find anything that doesn't meet our standard, we correct it before you see the car.
Climate-controlled bays
Coating chemistry is temperature-sensitive. Dust contamination during application creates inclusions under the coating layer. Our bays maintain controlled temperature and minimize airborne particulate during all coating and film installations.
